Please don't ever take any animals to these people. My dog was misdiagnosed to the point of almost starvation after many month & many bills. I have now heard many others in our area have similar stories. I can't believe this place is able to treat our pets. Please pass along info to your pet owning friends I HIGHLY recommend that NO ONE take any animals to VCA New London Animal Hospital.
Grateful to VCA New London Animal Hospital.
My husband and I were recently travelling with our dog "Maddie." She loves to travel with us, during her 9 years we had never run into a problem with her. She became lethargic, wasn't acting her normal perky self.
We were in the area, called 3 other hospitals upon calling VCA, they simply stated come down now.
We were greeted by two receptionists who were able to quickly gather our information, called our regular veterinarian in New York to have records faxed and within just a few minutes Maddie was seen by a veterinary technician who did a short exam . She was so compassionate, you would have thought that Maddie was her dog! She did inform us that our girls temperature was just a bit high. She returned with a doctor within 5 minutes. Maddie was a little bit dehydrated, we did some blood work and x-rays. She was put on IV fluids over night with some antibiotics by the next day she was much better. The doctor did recommend one more day on fluids and antibiotics then re-evaluate her again. We were able to take Maddie with us at the end of the second day. It had turned out that she had Lyme disease along with arthritis. By the end of our visit we had met most of the staff and found everyone to be nothing less than kind and compassionate.
stay away. I was bringing my cats there for a few years and then I noticed that every time I took one they would always want more tests done or more of this or that and when I lost my male cat to a brain tumor (that is what they said) I was alittle uncomfortable with them but couldn't prove anything. then I took my latest cat to them because she wasn't eating and they said because of 2 teeth. they extracted them and 5 others without my permission. then when she still wasn't eating or having bms they gave he an enema but when I went to get her they had given her two of them later that evening she was dying so I took her to the emergency hospital and they said vca should never have given her so much. her heart let out. when I confronted them they didn't want anything to do with me. I thought of sueing them. please if you love your pets get out of there fast.
