Celebrity chef’s mod diner is a real burger king.
BBP stands for Bobby’s Burger Palace--named for its creator, chef Bobby Flay--but it could also easily be an abbreviation for “Bobby’s Burgers with Personality.” Just as the decor (bright orange with shiny resin-coated wood) takes the diner metaphor to creative heights, the nine signature burgers take the humble American patty into a whole new delicious realm. Try the LA (topped with avocado, cheddar and watercress) or the Napa Valley (meat mingling with goat cheese and Meyer lemon-honey mustard). Flay’s griddle technique means that, even when well-done, the tenderizing fat and meat juices don’t drip away. Each moist beefy bite raises the burger bar.
