Great sushi, great service. I really enjoyed the fresh sushi, and the specials are very inventive and interesting. The owner went out of his way to greet us as we were eating, which was a nice touch, and they happily let us linger at a back table after we had finished eating. I live in the New Haven area, but I travel to New London for work ~1x/month, and I always make sure to stop by here for lunch.

A pure dining pleasure.. THE place to eat sushi in CT. Our favorites are the osumo, dynamite, alasa, and the black dragon. A pure dining pleasure. The menu has tons of selections in both sushi and main menu items. Every ingredient is fresh and full of taste. Sonny, the owner, is the BEST. He makes you feel as if you are the only customer he has. So if you are looking for outstanding food and want to be treated like royalty the Singapore Grill is the perfect spot.

Best of everything.. Sonny knows what he's doing. My goodness! The best food you'll ever consume.

The level of customer service alone is next to none.

The quality of the dishes is superior to everything and anything you have ever eaten before.

If you are still waiting to go...don't! Go now!

Good Value, Great Overall Asian Dining Experience. I've known the owner Sonny for quite a while now. He really makes his place special. He greets you at the door and stops by frequently during your meal to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. If time allows, he will pull up a chair and chat if you'd like. I am Japanese, therefore I go with my family to enjoy the Japanese food. Their sushi and sashimi is always fresh. The selection is wide and the size of the portions are plentiful! Overall, the sushi and sashimi is very good. My kids most of the time get their favorite, tempua udon. The servings are large enough even for my two teenage boys! The menu also includes chinese and malaysian dishes which are very good. Some of their noodle dishes are very good. In summary, for an enjoyable asian dining experience, a trip to Singapore's Grill and a visit with Sonny and his staff are well worth it.

I love this sushi. Great other entrees, too!. I was used to finding great sushi when I lived in New York City for over 20 years. Two years ago, I moved to Cape Cod. Since I still travel to Long Island frequently, I discovered the Singapore Grill last year and stop there often now. The sushi is wonderful and reasonably priced. Sonny and his chefs always have some other special dishes on the menu that are unique and fresh. Friendly low-key atmosphere with a large and interesting menu.

Our favorite in the area!. Singapore's Grill is one of the best pan-Asian restaurants around, easily comparable to Boston favorites (Penang, Brown Sugar Cafe).

The owner is enthusiastic to welcome you, and he sits down with you on every visit to help you tailor your menu choices to your tastes. He is always whipping up a new "off-the-beaten-path" dish to share. Quality is consistent, servers are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and belies the site's former fast food occupants.

The sushi is superb! We keep going back for the Spanish mackerel and the house special rolls, with touches like fresh herbs, chili, minced vegetable garnishes, etc. A great subtle touch: mackerel skin was seared on the grill just long enough to pick up a hint of smokiness and depth without being cooked in the least.

We hope owner Sonny's quality food and infectious energy continues to bring in the following he deserves!

Best Sushi With a Smile. Great place to eat sushi in CT. Even better if you want to eat out with people who don't find bait tasty. A wonderful and varied non sushi menu for all.
