The Setting
The park's inviting 700 acres are located along Long Island Sound, where the primary attraction in the park is the half-mile of crescent-shaped sandy beach. Other attractions include a large marine estuary that bisects the park and provides saltwater fishing opportunities.
The Facility
There are showers and a dump station for campers. Services include picnic shelter, concession, bathhouses and flush toilets. There are five miles of hiking trails as well as ocean-side picnic areas. Other activities include wildlife viewing, interpretive programs, scuba diving, swimming, field sports, cross-country skiing, mountain biking and roller-blading.
