that look salon. In my honest opinion, That Look offers any and everything I could want and/or hope for in a salon. I've been a client there since I was little, and i've seen three of the twenty some odd stylists who work there. They all did a fantastic job! I go every five weeks, to retouch my color, and six to get it trimmed. Since my first visit, I have had nothing but good experiences when i've gone. The staff are kind and personable, and willing to help us clients out when need be. The stylists give their professional input, and will not hesitate to be honest about the way a certain style will look on you [in the kindest way possible!] as well as alter the style to fit your look. I must say that I would definetly reccommend anyone-young to old, this very salon. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE!

best cut and color i have ever had!!!. I have had several pleasurable experiences at That Look Salon in East Lyme. The stylists were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this Salon for anyone who may be looking for a dependable and classy salon.

Good Hair, Bad Communication. I have looked for a hair salon and finally found it. But beware, communication is not their strong point.

I have had 5 appointments and two of the five have cancelled. The last cancellation was the last straw!

I left work two hours early to make my appointment, only to be told by the front receptionist that my stylist went home sick...."we tried to call you, but it wasn't you..." was the answer I was given....I turned around and left very angry...I got to the front door and decided go back and find out why they had the wrong phone number and to see if there was another person to take me....the girl that gave me the information was laughing with another girl at the desk..."what were we supposed to do about it..." I asked her what was so funny about my inconvenience, she realized that she was caught and turned and went back to the nail station. I was also given a "detailed" health history of the stylist that went home and why she had to leave...sorry, but that is none my business......and would be angry if it were my personal health that they spilling the info about.....

I asked what number was called to inform me of the canceled appt. I was told that the number in the computer was erased when they called because it was wrong....I then told her I would never be back, and that it was unfair of them not to call ...after all, I filled out my home, work and cell phone information when I started with them back in the summer....I left vowing never to go back...and went shopping at Talbots and spent way too much because it made me feel better!

I will look for another styling salon.......

great hair cut. I just moved to the area and was nervous about going to a new salon. I was highly reccomended to That Look by co-workers. The building is great. It is in an old church, it's very bright, open and an inviting atmosphere. My stylist Rachel, listened to what I wanted and gave a faboulous cut! I will see her next week for a color.

Relaxed and Educated Staff. I have been a client for many years and this salon is quiet unique. It is in a church and has great natural lighting and a very open floor space. The reception staff are very nice and downstairs they do nails, pedicures and waxing. There are many people working who are all very friendly and very knowledageable. My stylist is great! I always get an excellent cut and color, and I love it. They use and recommend Redken products and most of the staff attends advanced education classes. They also have in salon education 2-4 times a year. My experience has always been great because of the communication that exists between me and my stylist, she listens to me and I love the results.

Exceptional work!. I got my haircolored there the other day and I could not believe how much the stylist knew about this field. She had all the newest ideas and explained everything she was doing and why she did it. I found out how to actually use the products she suggested to get my hair the same way she styled it. I can not even tell you how many compliments I've gotten on my hair since then. ITs also in a really neat old church but the setup is awesome. I am actually considering getting hairextensions there and wouldnt go anywhere else. I love my hair!

Friendliest staff. This salon is great. It is clean and professional. They just recently won an national award for education. I highly recommend you try it.

There's Always A New Look at That Look!. Every time I get my hair done at That Look it's fresh and modern. I see different stylists and they are all great. They really want me to look and feel my best. I've had my nails done also, one stop shop! LA Jewelry downstairs is awesome!

Best Place Ever. I absolutely love That Look! I get my hair colored and cut there and have loved the work that they have done. They always make me look great!
